Meaning Of Jamai Sasthi:

The word "Jamai" means son-in-law, and "Sasthi" refers to the sixth day of the lunar month, which is considered auspicious.

During Jamai Sasthi, the bride's parents treat their son-in-law with special attention, affection, and lavish hospitality. They invite him to their home and shower him with gifts, blessings, and delicious food. It is a way of expressing gratitude and acknowledging the son-in-law's presence in the family.

The festivities typically involve rituals such as the mother-in-law performing an aarti (a religious ritual with a lighted lamp) for her son-in-law, tying a sacred thread on his wrist, and offering him sweets.
